Hans van Schie

For me CROP is a company with just the right size and just the right number of clients: not too big and not too small. It is a type of company where both staff members and clients are not numbers, but rather people. In other words, ‘people’ is the key word. And it is precisely this human aspect that makes CROP so unique.

From education to a career

I was born on the March 21, 1968 in Buitenkaag (Haarlemmermeer) and nowadays I live in Hillegom. In 1995 I completed my post-graduate education in accountancy at the University of Amsterdam. At the time I worked for a medium-sized accounting firm. This suited me very well, so that in my subsequent career decisions I consciously opted for medium-sized firms. In 2000 I started to work for CROP chartered accountants & tax advisors in Hoofddorp. Since January 2009 I am a partner in this branch.

My motive: transfer of knowledge in sense

In keeping with our unique corporate identity, I would like to see CROP in general, and our Hoofddorp branch in particular, position itself more clearly among SMEs and among talented and potential employees. I would like to make my contribution to the 'growth' of clients and personnel, but when I say 'growth', I don't mean just in numbers.

I get a great deal of pleasure from transferring knowledge in the widest sense of the word. I very much enjoy giving technical presentations or helping my colleagues with their work and studies. I also get satisfaction from thinking together with a client about how we can both contribute to the future of his/her enterprise. A satisfied client makes me satisfied as well! I also try to contribute on a social level: I have turned my profession into my hobby by becoming the treasurer of the Stichting Promotie Hillegom (Hillegom Promotion Foundation).
